Winter adventure and sun skiing on over 23 km of runs at Glungezer mountain
Whether on skis, a snowboard, a toboggan or simply for winter hiking: the Glungezer in the holiday region of Hall-Wattens makes every athlete's heart beat faster.
Easily accessible and well-groomed pistes for all skill levels
The ultra-modern 10-passenger gondola lift takes only six and a half minutes from the valley station in Tulfes in Tyrol to the Halsmarter middle station at 1,565 metres above sea level. Additional comfort is provided by the large glass panes of the spacious cabins, so that you can admire the magnificent view of the surrounding mountain landscape during your journey.
Once at the top, you can enjoy both well-groomed slopes of grippy snow and an incomparable view of the Inn Valley, the massive Karwendel Mountains and the Stubai and Tux Alps. Due to the new snow-making system and the attractive reservoir, there is plenty of variety on more than 23 kilometres of pistes. Little snow foxes learn their first turns in the lovingly designed children's area on easy runs, while advanced skiers prefer the more demanding routes in the upper part of the ski area.
Winter hiking trail at 1,600 metres above sea level
For non-skiers, a ride on the new gondola lift is also worthwhile: the new, well-groomed trail "Glungezer Winterwaldweg" starts right next to the Halsmarter middle station. The easy hike takes you along an almost level path at 1,600 metres above sea level through a magnificent winter forest, passing a variety of tree species such as spruces, larches and firs. Impressive views of the Voldertal, the Inntal and the snow-covered Volderberg mountain are offered. After reaching the turning point in about half an hour (1,5 kilometres) just follow the same path back to the middle station. The “Winterwaldweg” offers hikers unspoilt nature, wonderfully clean air and absolute tranquillity, nothing but the crunch of snow under your feet and the sound of a nearby mountain stream.
Culinary delights on the mountain
The Glungezer ski area also offers various refreshment stops. In the mountain restaurant and alpine huts you will find traditional Tyrolean food and homemade desserts as well as international cuisine, accompanied by a cool beer, a good glass of wine or a refreshing juice - what more could a skier's heart desire?
Convenient transport service to the ski area
The public bus Nr. 4134 from Hall and Innsbruck brings enthusiastic ski and snowboard fans comfortably to the ski area in Tulfes. Free bus transport for all guests with the Treasure Card (Gästekarte Hall-Wattens).
